VisionSG to sign contract with Jinhua Youngman Co. Ltd

VisionSG has successfully signed a contract with Jinhua Youngman to bring in to the country a Singapore branch for the commercial company and 150 buses for VisionSG. The 30-hectare branch will be situated at Punggol at VisionSG's headquarters, due to be completed by 15th October 2011.

The 150 JNP6122G buses will be locally built at the Punggol premises starting from 20th October 2011. The chassis and the bodywork would be built by Youngman and the bus will be fitted with the MAN D2066 engine and ZF5HP590 transmission. The buses will also be fitted with in-bus bus stop reporting system, first in the country. Announcements will be reported in English.

These buses will be expected to enter revenue service by 15th November 2011 on Service 681.

An Express Service does not
call at some of the bus stops
along a service route while a
normal trunk service calls at all
the bus stops.

Express _ _ _:Express Service
This service is a little different
from FFw Services, where this
kind of bus services ply on it's own
route, not an alternative from the
parent service.

_ _ _ M :Modified Service
A Modified Service is mostly the
same to a normal trunk service.
The only and the only difference
is the different destinations for
the bus service.

_ _ _R/RWS _ _ : Resort World Sentosa™ Service
This service will serve Resort World Sentosa, and will charge express fares/flat fare accordingly. A _ _ _R bus will only come after two buses serving its parent service will come. RWS _ _ services is a service on its own, so it will have its own frequency.
